You have just had a great workout and now you need to replenish your body with something nutritious and delicious. The post workout meal or snack can be crucial to your workout goals, whether that is to gain or lose weight. After a workout your body craves nutrients to help repair and feed your muscles. By adding this to your post workout routine you may be able to achieve better results from your workout. The reason is because you have just used up your muscle glycogen and the muscles are torn a bit. You need to feed your muscles with a combination of protein and carbohydrates. These are my top 5 favorite post workout smoothies. You can use these as a post workout snack or as a regular snack during the day as well.
